Are you a new staff member? Have you worked at Sunshine Hospital for many years and wondered how a Library can help you? Then this free and easy to use web-based tutorial is just for you!
The aim of this tutorial is to introduce hospital staff to services and resources the Library has to offer. Open to ALL medical, nursing, allied health and administrative hospital staff members, take a walk though the 8 different areas of the Library Service to learn how the Library can help you with research, clinical practice and updating your skills and knowledge. This online tutorial will only take 35 minutes of your time to complete and can be done either at work or at home. Your computer will need Acrobat Reader installed and basic computer skills are needed to complete all sections. If you are only interested in certain aspects of the Library, click on your desired area of interest in the table of contents located at the bottom of this website. By the end of this tutorial you will feel more confident in using and contacting your library. You will discover how to use and access: the online book catalogue medical, nursing and allied health databases, online journals and books how to request a journal or book how to find relevant and up-to-date information for your research, clinical practice and policies
